Annie Hoang

Assistant Research Scientist

Role

Annie works on a variety of research projects for CSPAR and the Suicide Care Research Center. In her role she assists lead staff scientists and faculty investigators to implement their studies. This might include data entry, supporting with participant communications, monitoring surveys, and the co-development and maintenance of study protocols.  

Background

Annie graduated from Seattle University in 2024 with a B.S. in Psychology and minors in Studio Art and Catholic Studies. Before joining CSPAR, she worked as a mental health technician at THIRA Health. She has interned as a research assistant at the OHSU Center for Excellence in Disabilities with Dr. Katharine Zuckerman, the Center for the Study of Health with Dr. Katherine Walukevich-Dienst, and the Garvey Institute for Brain Health Solutions with Dr. Sarah Danzo.
Her interests include DBT, suicidality and self-harm in adolescents, and disparities in access to mental health care for communities of color and LGBTQA+ youth.
