Role
Jasmine is a research scientist at the Center for Suicide Prevention and Recovery (CSPAR) and Suicide Care Research Center (SCRC).
Background
Jasmine received her master’s degree in applied psychology from Rutgers University-New Brunswick. She joined the SCRC and the CSPAR teams in the Fall of 2024.
Before SCRC and CSPAR, Jasmine was a research project manager at ARCADIA for Suicide Prevention at NYU, where she led several studies aimed at understanding and preventing adolescent suicide in both school and hospital-based settings. Her work involved collaborating closely with school staff and administrators, healthcare professionals, and community organizations to implement and evaluate evidence-based interventions in youth populations.
In addition to her research project management experience, Jasmine has over five years of experience managing clinical trials across various therapeutic areas, including Psychiatry, OBGYN, and Neurology. From those experiences, she gained a passion for research that addresses disparities in access to mental health within BIPOC communities.
The Center for Suicide Prevention and Recovery (CSPAR) is a part of the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Washington.
