Tess graduated from Boise State University in 2011 with B.A.s in Psychology and English Literature and has been with UW’s Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences since 2013. Before joining CSPAR in 2025, she worked as a video game concept artist, a program assistant with the AIMS Center, a research coordinator for various perinatal mental health projects within the Division of Population Health, and a project coordinator for the Department of Veterans Affairs. In addition to suicide prevention, her research interests include perinatal collaborative care, advanced patient registries, and intervention adaptation to improve access to care in low resource settings.
